The series “follows six tiny animals on the biggest adventures of their lives”. First up is a turtle hatchling which has a perilous start in life: its mother laid her eggs on a sandy verge by the side of a highway in Canada. The plucky youngster must cross this road, and then make it through a forest to the safety of a lake. We viewers hold our breath as the turtle dodges the wheels of thundering trucks (“One lane down, one to go…”), escapes the clutches of a raven (“Saved… sometimes being little pays off”), and finally reaches the other side. Hurrah! Against the odds, the little guy has made it.
